Anne's client in this case had contracted Vibration White Finger due to his working conditions.  An offer of compensation was made by the employers responsible but Anne advised her client to reject this offer.

On the day before the case was due to be heard in court, Anne received an offer which was three times the original amount put forward.  Her client was very happy with the outcome.

Pleural Thickening Compensation

In this case, Anne's client was a plumber who had been negligently exposed to asbestos by his employers whilst removing and applying asbestos pipe lagging.  30 years after the exposure to asbestos he developed a shortness of breath and was diagnosed with asbestos related pleural thickening.

His former employers' insurers admitted liability for the asbestos exposure and Anne's client was awarded £50,000 which took into account the health problems he had together with his reduced life expectancy.

Motorcycle Accident Compensation

Anne's client in this case was a minor who was hit by a motorcycle being ridden by a person under the influence of alcohol.  The rider collided with the boy and then left the scene of the accident leaving the boy lying by the roadside.

The boy sustained a serious injury to his leg and had to wear a plaster cast to help the healing process.  He was still having surgery several months after the accident.

Police were able to trace the rider of the motorcycle and brought a conviction.  Anne recovered £30,000 compensation for her client.
