Cycle Accident Compensation Claim
In this case, Nikki's client was Dr Glyn Powell from Yorkshire. Dr Powell was cycling home from work using the same route he had used for many years when he was hit from behind by a road sweeper and knocked off his cycle.
Dr Powell suffered a stroke at the scene of the accident and was knocked unconscious. He suffered a serious head injury as well as severe bruising to the back of his body.
Nikki fought hard in this case and recovered £200,000 compensation for Dr Powell. The large sum of compensation took into account his serious injuries and the fact that his career had been cut short.
Passenger injured in car accident
Nikki's client in this case was a man who was injured as a passenger in a car accident. The driver of the car he was in lost control of the vehicle and it flipped over. Nikki's client suffered head injuries and hand injuries and had to have 2 of his fingers partially amputated.
The driver's insurance company had offered the injured passenger £5,000 compensation shortly after the accident but once Nikki became involved, she negotiated a higher figure which fairly reflected the injuries. He was awarded £13,000.
