Building Site Accident

In this case, Jane's client was an engineer who frequently had to visit building sites as part of his job.  At the time of his accident he was at a building site where the site owner had failed to ensure there were safe access routes around the site.  He stepped down from a plinth onto uneven ground and twisted his ankle, breaking it.

He couldn't work for several months and needed physiotherapy.  Jane was successful in recovering compensation from the site owner in this case.

Jane's client in this case was following normal company procedure by using a set of step ladders to reach a conveyor belt which had become blocked.  As he started stepping down the ladder his feet slipped on grease and dirt which had accumulated on the rungs and he fell.
