Leg Amputated after Accident at Work
Peter's client in this case was a man who was at work when a machine exploded due to faulty repair work which had been done on it. An object flew out of the machine and impacted with the man's leg causing severe damage.
Several operations were performed to try and repair his leg but were unsuccessful. He eventually had to have his leg amputated.
Peter recovered 2 interim payments in this case to allow the man to arrange suitable accommodation and start arranging the care he needed. Crush Injuries in Workplace Accident
In this case, Peter's client was a man who suffered serious injuries after becoming trapped between two heavy objects at work.
He was told to move some heavy objects with the use of a remotely operated crane. The job is supposed to be carried out by 2 people but on the day of his accident the man was working alone. He accidently operated the crane before he was in a safe area and was crushed between 2 of the heavy objects.
He suffered multiple fractures and serious internal injuries. Peter recovered a six figure sum in compensation for him.
Motorcycle Accident
Peter's client in this case was a motorcyclist who suffered serious spinal injuries after a road accident. The man was at a specialist motorcycle circuit and had been following a group of other motorcyclists for some time. As he tried to overtake the group, another rider pulled out into his path and collided with him.
The man was in intensive care for several weeks and suffered a broken neck, several broken vertebrae and damage to his spinal column.
Peter recovered a six figure sum of compensation for the man which took into account his future lost earnings and the ongoing care and equipment he needed to cope with his disabilities.
