The student had obviously not been trained in manual handling techniques and the piece of equipment was far too heavy for her to lift.

Tripped at work
In this case Rhicha's client was a woman who was injured at work. During some refurbishment work being carried out at her workplace, cardboard had been taped to a set of temporary steps but some of the tape had come loose and the cardboard caused a tripping hazard.
As she tripped, the lady grabbed the handrail but felt a sharp pain in her back as she did so. She was off work for some time and Rhicha was successful in recovering compensation for her.
