Successful Personal Injury Claims
Below, you will find just a small selection of some of the personal injury compensation claims Mick has dealt with in the South Shields office.
Life-Changing Injuries
Mick's client in this case was working on a mobile platform when a heavy piece of equipment fell from above and impacted with his head.
The client developed epilepsy as a result of the accident together with other cognitive problems. He was put onto medication which he would have to take for the rest of his life and was unable to drive or work again.
Mick used his skill and experience to recover £450,000 for this client.
Fall from height
In this case, Mick's client was at work where building work was being carried out. The floor collapsed beneath him and he fell through to the level below where he was covered with wet concrete.
The client suffered fractures to his ankle and leg as well as chemical burns to his head and body.
Mick successfully made a claim for damages against the client's employers and a sum of compensation was awarded which took into account the permanent disability caused by the serious fractures he sustained.
Accident resulting in Amputations
Mick's client in this case was at work and was operating a machine when his hand was pulled into it. The client had several of his fingers amputated as a result of the accident.
Inspections of the machine found that the machine did not have a guard on it and the operating speed had been set too fast.
Mick was successful in recovering compensation for his client which included interim payments to help him cope financially while he couldn't work and the final settlement figure was still being negotiated.
