Accidents Abroad Solicitor in Stoke-on-Trent
Martyn Gwyther is a fully qualified solicitor with many years experience of dealing with personal injury compensation claims. He works as a team manager at Thompsons Solicitors' Stoke-on-Trent office and helps injured people throughout central England to make personal injury claims.

Martyn is Thompsons Solicitors' National Supervisor for Overseas Accident Claims.
It is very important to instruct an experienced solicitor if you are looking to make a claim for an accident which has happened whilst abroad as differences in the law from country to country mean that claims for accidents abroad can be very complex cases to deal with.
Martyn is a Senior Litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and a member of The Law Society.
Successful Personal Injury Claims
Below, you will find just a small selection of some of the personal injury compensation claims Martyn has dealt with in the Stoke-on-Trent office.
Accident in Greece
Martyn's client in this case was a woman who had been injured whilst on holiday in Greece. The woman had booked a package holiday to Greece and was going down a marble staircase within the grounds of the hotel when she slipped and fell, breaking her ankle.
The staircase had been left wet after a recent storm and to add to the danger, some of the non-slip strips on the steps were missing whilst others on the shiny surface had become worn.
The lady needed surgery on the broken ankle and was off work for several months. Martyn recovered £7,000 compensation for her which she was very pleased with.
Accident at Work Claim
In this case Martyn's client was a paramedic who was injured at work. He was responding to an emergency call and as he walked through the patient's door carrying his bag filled with equipment, the bag caught on the door frame, pulling him backwards and causing him to fall.
There had been many complaints made about the bags in the past and requests had been made for them to be replaced with a design more suitable for the job but this had not been done.
The paramedic suffered a fractured scapula and also damaged the discs in his neck. He was not fit to return to work after the accident and had to retire on the grounds of ill health. Martyn recovered a six-figure sum in compensation for him.
