Launch of new Headway Branch

Preston and Chorley branch now open

Thompsons would like to extend their congratulations to the new local Headway for Preston and Chorley after their successful launch on 15th October 2010. Headway is a charity set up to give help and support to people affected by brain injury.

Over 130 delegates attended the event at Preston North End Football Club which featured guest speakers.

Headway Preston and Chorley now run monthly drop in sessions between 11am and 3pm on the first Tuesday of every month. The drop in sessions take place at the Minerva Centre, Lowthorpe Road, Preston, PR1 1SB.

Headway offer support to those with brain injury

Imogen Wetton, a committee member of Headway Preston and Chorley and a solicitor at Thompsons’ Serious Injuries Unit commented “Sustaining a brain injury is distressing for everyone involved. Headway provide a vital service, offering support to those with brain injury and their families as well as advice for carers. It was great to see so many people involved in the launch and to have a service provided by Headway extended to the community in Preston and Chorley.”
